- 1. When is the next expedition to Bolivia going to leave?
Answer: Winter break of 2008. Around December 12-23, 2008.
- 2. Can I go on the trip?
Answer: We accept people from any major as long as they are motivated. Past years have included nutrition, pre-law, pre-dental, and pre-medical students. Watch for our upcoming trip interviews by reading our listserv. Request to be added to our email listserv by sending us an email.
- 3. What are the membership requirements for Spreading Smiles?
Answer: A small membership fee is required to be qualified as an official member of the group. This fee is used to pay for various club expenses. However, if you actively participate in Spreading Smiles that is most important.
- 4. How do I set up a time to teach dental/medical information at elementary schools?
Answer: Come to our meetings to learn more about teaching at schools. Usually one goes through the school's principle to set up activities.
- 5. Do I have to get donations for my trip or can I pay my own way?
Answer: Donations are suggested, but not required. We do purchase plane tickets as a group, therefore you must have funds present at that time. Be prepared to spend $2000 on the trip, unless you raise funds through donations or other means. Once accepted on the trip more specific information will be given.
